Renee Adam
Graduate Student

About Me
Hi All! My name is Renee Adam and I am a 2nd-year graduate student at Ball State University. I am working towards my MA in Organizational Professional Communication and Development (OPCD). My anticipated graduation date is May 2022. This degree has a concentration in consulting and training work which are two skills I have been so excited to develop throughout graduate school.
I graduated from Ball State in December of 2019 with a BS in Interpersonal Communication. I took a semester off to travel and explore my youth with friends and family by my side. When the pandemic "hit" in March of 2020, I was in Moab, Utah at Arches National Park. I returned home promptly, and like many others, my plans changed drastically. Jobs and Internships were not in the works anymore, so, graduate school became a great option for me and I have been thankful to be here.
Something that everyone should know about me is that I LOVE golf, but more importantly, I love the golf industry and that is where I hope to take my career one day. I have worked in the golf industry for 5 years and will not look back! I want to develop my skills as much as possible while I am still learning how to "adult!" Summer of 2021, I had the opportunity to intern with the Illinois PGA (Illinois Section of the Professional Golfers Association of America). I am looking forward to graduating so I can be closer to my dreams of working for a major golf company in the communication side of the industry!

On the Left: During my time with the IPGA I worked the "Drive, Chip and Putt" events for young golfers age 7-15. I was responsible for drawing the circles for the Chip and Putt stations!
On the Right: My first week on the internship. It snowed, rained, and had sunny skies at Bull Valley Golf Club in Woodstock, IL. I had starter responsibilities.
